For flavoring
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances richness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Spray the inner pot of the Instant Pot with cooking spray or add a splash of oil.
  2. Add 1 cup of steel-cut oats and 3 cups of water to the pot.
  3. Tighten the lid and select the 'Porridge' setting on high pressure for 4 minutes.
Post-Cooking
  1. Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10-15 minutes before opening the lid.
  2. Stir the oats quickly before serving.

Notes

Don’t overload with milk initially to prevent foaming. Add toppings such as peanut butter, honey, fruits, or chocolate chips after cooking. For leftovers, add a splash of milk before reheating if they thicken.
