Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced Use boneless, skinless chicken breast.
  • 1 lb smoked beef sausage, sliced Feel free to swap with turkey sausage.
  • 8 oz pasta Short-cut pasta like penne or rotini works best.
  • 4 cups chicken broth Adjust based on pasta type and cooking needs.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Use smoky or sharp cheddar for more flavor.
  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix Store-bought or homemade will work.
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika Enhances the smoky flavor profile.
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnish, optional.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large pot, brown the diced chicken and sliced beef sausage over medium heat until golden.
  2. Add the ranch seasoning and smoked paprika. Stir well and cook for a minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the uncooked pasta and chicken broth, ensuring the pasta is fully submerged.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and allow to simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked and absorbs flavors.
  5. Near the end of cooking, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For added richness, a splash of milk can be added if the sauce thickens too much. Taste before serving to adjust seasoning.
